Marking Milestones

This year sees both David Thomson and Anthony Lee clock up 25 years with Thomson Murrumbeena, a period of time certainly worth acknowledging. A real achievement in
any profession and particularly in one workplace! Whilst the role of selling, leasing and managing property largely remains the same, the process and level of sophistication
has certainly shifted light years with the power of technology.

Under the direction of David and Anthony, Thomson has kept abreast of the industry changes and best practice standards and remains market leaders.”You certainly gather a lot of experience over twenty-five years and that is where our clients reap the rewards.” says David Thomson.

Anthony Lee reflecting on his career says, “Whist the bells and whistles have changed along the way, the essence of the job remains unchanged – and that is providing the
best possible service we can to our clients. This is what we love doing.”

We also celebrate two other milestones this year. Kellie Finlayson marks 10 years of service in Property Management. This is certainly a significant period of time in such
a role. During her career Kellie has also obtained her full Estate Agent’s Licence and has just successfully completed a leadership program.

Paul Thomson also notches up 10 years of consecutive service this year, in our Accounts Department. Paul grew up living and breathing real estate and spent a number of years working for the company in Property Management before taking on full time study and
broadening his horizons travelling the world and publishing a book.

We thank both Kellie and Paul for their dedication to not only the company, but to our clients. It is our people that make our business and our workplace a success. We have had many staff members achieve significant milestones over the years and this is something we are incredibly proud of.

Fact File

For the first half of 2016 our property management department has leased 315 properties, including new properties being leased and managed by our office for the first time. That is 52.5 per month or 2.5 per business day! It would seem our hard work pays off as whist the current vacancy rate for the middle suburbs of Melbourne is 3.3 %, our vacancy rate sits at 1.1%.

We are committed to getting the job done and maximising our clients returns. In a service industry it is imperative to seek feedback from your clients. It is definitely reassuring when we get an overwhelmingly positive response to our online surveys and several client endorsements each month.
